How to formulate a Query
You can get property information based
on the following criteria or a combination of some of them:
-
Owner's Last Name
-
Owner's First Name
-
Property Address House Number
-
Property Address Street Name
-
Map Number
Here is how the search screen will look like:
After entering the criteria, click the search button to perform the query.
Generating Query Results
Query results will be shown in the left frame as a
list of properties that match your criteria. Each property is linked to a property
profile report, a property map and neighborhood sales report. Clicking
on the links will bring you each report into the frame to the right. The frame
area can be adjusted by pointing the mouse to the boundary line between the two
frames and drag the boundary while holding down the left mouse button.
If the search returns more than 10 records, the results will be organized into pages. Use the buttons at the bottom of
the list to move to other pages of the list.
Examining Reports
The property
profile report includes the following items and more:
-
Property Assessed Value
-
Property Owner Information
-
Property Location Information
-
Property Detail Information
Search Tips
-
If you are not sure about the owner or street name, enter the portion that you know.
-
Do not input street type, such as "street, road, blvd" in the street name.
-
Search criteria are not case sensitive.
The property
map allows users to view a property map and move around the area using the
Zoom In, Zoom Out and Pan functions. To use any map funcitons, simply click on a radio
button to choose the function (e.g, Zoom Out), then click anywhere inside the map to
perform the function selected. If you select 'Pan' function, clicking on the right
side of the map will move the map toward left to display more right side area. By the same principle,
clicking on the top side of the map will move the map downward to display more top side area.
The user can also retrieve information on a nearby property by first selecting the Identify function,
and then click specifically on the interested site location. When there
are multiple property maps overlaying each other, select the Shuffle function and click
on the map to shuffle the maps.
The
neighborhood sales report provides most recent one year property transactions in the
surrounding area. The one year sale data span from Sept. to next Sept. of each year. By default,
the sales report provides the last year property sales on the same street as the property under query.
However, the user can expand the option on maximum search distance, transfer dates, number of records to retrieve and sort order.
After changing the options, click "Retrieve
" button to refresh the report.
